I am extremely pleased to announce that I will be receiving the Toronto Film Critics Association’s Cineplex Emerging Critic Award this year. My passion for film and criticism has for a long time been rather obscure and written for an audience of one (i.e. me) but film criticism has been my dream career since I first took my first film studies course in university. This award and professional acknowledgement is a big encouragement for me to keep writing and watching movies. Thank you to my friends, family, and followers who supported me, my wonderful online community of movie lovers, and thank you to the TFCA for this honour!
